Readers Problem Tag

So I was tagged by Confessions of a Book Addict to do the Readers Problem tag. It seems pretty cool so let's do it!

 1. You have 20,000 books on your TBR. (To Be Read) How in the world do you decide what to read next?

I would talk to my reading buddies and see what all the bookstagramers are reading right now. If I found one that looked super good I'd probably pick it up and read it.

 2. You're halfway through a book and you're just not loving it. Do you quit or are you commited?

I guess it depends on the book. If I have to read something for school, then I definitely finish it!  If I don't have to read it for anything, then I would stop reading it. I am reading for fun and if I am not enjoying it, oh well!

 3. The end of the year is coming and you're so close, yet so far from you Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try and catch up and how?

Well I am not on Goodreads, so that's out. But if I set a goal for myself, then I'll try to make it by making more time to read.

 4. The covers of a series you love does not match. How do you cope?

Get a new one if I can afford it!!! If not, then I would wait till I could afford it.

 5. Everyone and their mother loves a book you really don't like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

I would probably find a friend on Instagram that likes books as much as I do, who shares the same feelings as me, to bond with. A girl always needs someone to share these things with!

 6. You're reading a book and you're about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

Go ahead and cry!! I don't cry a lot.\, so I probably wouldnt have this problem, but if I did there is no shame crying in public.

 7. A sequal of a book you loved just came out, but you've forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequal? Try to find a summary on goodreads? Cry in frustration?!

I would go back to the end of the prior novel and hope I can remember what happened. If I still can't remember what happened, then I'll go ahead and read the sequal. This book might remind me of what happened.

 8. You do not want anyone- ANYONE- borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope  when they ask?

I would tell them that I do not feel comfortable with them borrowing my books.There is a chance they might loose it and that is not okay with me.

 9. Reading ADD. You've picked up 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

Read some contemporary YA romance. That's my favorite thing to read!!

 10. There are so many books coming out that you're dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

I would buy as many of them that I could afford. There is no such thing as too many books!!!

 11. After you've bought the new books you can't wait to get to. how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to read them?

They do not even make it on the shelf! I read them the first moment I can. That means the first night I get them!!! I'll probably stay up all night reading it too!

Mad Love by Suzanne Selfors

            Mad Love is such a cute book. I read it around Valentines and I realized I haven't reviewed it yet. This book is about Cupid. Cupid, otherwise known as Errol, wants his real love story to be written. Every time someone has written his story they always create a happy ending for it, but that is not how it happened. Alice is the daughter of the "Queen of Romance" does she have what it takes to write Errol's love story? I sure hope so.

           This book has some amazing lessons to teach its readers. A) the universal truths about beauty. I don't know if it is necessarily true, but either way the last one is my favorite. 1)"The first universal truth about beauty is that all guys like long hair." 2) "The second universal truth about beauty is that all guys like big eyes." 3) and by far my favorite, "The third universal truth about beauty is that no guy's gonna think you're beautiful if you don't believe it yourself." This is some good advice. Love yourself.

            Some more good advice... "It comes down to this- you either go and get what you want or you don't--" I think that's pretty clear. Don't procrastinate. Which I suck at. I am really good at procrastinating. I would go as far as to say I am a pro. But we shouldn't do that. Especially when we want something.

             Although this is fictional, I think that this book teaches a lot of beneficial things. And sooner or later it might come down to losing something if we don't go and get it.So do what you have to do. Keep reading and love yourself!!!

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

            Dear John makes me think of the song Dear John by Taylor Swift. I have never been on a date let alone been in a relationship where anything has been serious. But I can imagine that I would be devastated if I was completely in love with this person and then they break up with me. The lyrics to the chorus are" Dear John, I see it all now that you're gone./ Don't you think I was to young/ to be messed with?/ The girl in the dress/ Cried the whole way home, I should've known" 

            John and Savannah did not know each other for very long, but I don't think it takes a long time to love someone. The kind of love that they shared is different than you would have with most people. In fact, most people love a lot of people. Your best friend. Your sister. Your mother. You nieces and nephews. There are so many people in this world to love. This lady came and she talked to a group of people at my church. One of the things that she talked to us about was love. Sometimes we make it hard to love people, but really it is not that hard. She gave us a few steps. 1. Break the ice. It can be hard to share things with a person, but honestly if you get through the small talk part, it will not be that bad. 2. Share with them something you have a hard time with. Because we are all struggling with something. For John it was the distance between the people that he loved. 3. Find something that you would do together. You would be amazed at the connection that would make. You have to find something in common and then not necessarily make it a commitment, but it means that it is something you can do together. and lastly 4. Something that you would say to them if you knew that that would be the last time you ever saw them and they were out of birthdays(like they are gonna die).  

            These few steps are ones that John and Savannah took, minus the last step. They got to know a little about each other and they shared things about themselves that no one else knew. They had plans. By the title I can imply that some breaking up is gonna happen, but the little twist that Nicholas Sparks presents in the book really gives me a great perspective on love. This is a beautiful story and I highly encourage this book.

Love at First Sight by Nicholas Sparks

            So I started a book club a couple months ago and this month we are reading "The Selection" by Kiera Cass. I encourage you to read this as well and let me know what you think about it. Next month Kiera is coming to Dallas for the Romantic Reads Convention and I am very excited to meet her. I have been waiting a long time to meet her. Who's your favorite author and have you met her/him?


           What a cute book! I love the way the titles reflect the book and the beautiful way Sparks executes the entire book. The development of the characters can always be better, but I believe that Nicholas Sparks did a great job with Lexie and Jeremy. It is set in a small town in South Caroline. He writes articles for various newspapers exposing that the  paranormal has science behind it. But Jeremy meets Lexie at a cemetery in Boone Creek and what else is to happen except fall in love. Of course relationships are not easy. And if you can't do your job to support yourself or your love finds out she is pregnant, that is just the cherry on top of the ice cream. When Lexie finds out she's pregnant Jeremy decides to move to Boone Creek to help her raise his kid. But then he gets mysterious emails from an unknown source making him question everything!
            I would give this book probably a 4/5. It is a good book and I would recommend you read it. I do not think this book is for everybody, but for the romantics  and maybe even if you are not a romantic it could be for you too.
            Join Lexie and Jeremy on their journey through life... Only through about a year's worth, but still. Have fun reading!

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

            I just can't even... It is so good... I don't know that it's realistic, but other than a American school in Paris, I think that it is realistic. Every, almost every, teenage girl dreams of growing up and getting married.

            Anna and St. Claire are my OTP. (One True Pair) We get to see all of them. (All of their imperfections.) Anna is from Atlanta and she grew up in one place. Her parents are divorced and her dad is a romance writer that is quite popular. St. Claire is a short, but confident guy. He is very interesting. He speaks with an English accent, has a french name and is american. They meet at SOAP. (School of America in Paris) And without any friends Anna meets St. Claire, Meridith, Josh, and Rashmid. All of them are seniors except for Josh and we get to read all about this school year. What did they do? Who did they meet? Do they fall in love? They are in the city of LOVE! 

            Don't miss the chance to read this intense book by Stephanie Perkins. The emotions are there. It might make you cry. Anna and St. Claire meet on weird terms and although they came for different reasons, they are a great match. Find out if they end up together and order your own copy here!

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

            Stephanie Perkins is my new favorite author! Maybe I am little too much caught up in the romance, but HEY! It's more interesting than my life. I love being able to pick out who I think a girl is going to end up with and trying to guess what's going to happen next. Personally I hate love triangles. They make me angry. It may not be normal to yell at books at 2 AM, but that's exactly what happened. So I'm going to tell you about this AMAZING book written by this AWESOME author.

             Lola is an extraordinary girl in an ordinary world. She has two dads and she dresses up like its nobody's business. Because it isn't! She has a job and what she would call her "perfect" boyfriend. BUT when her childhood neighbors move back into the house next door, life changes. Suddenly she's trying to avoid talking to them and she's keeping secrets from her boyfriend and everything is different. Cricket, her old neighbor and past crush, may be gone to college, but he makes the trip home as often as possible to see her. Will the old flame be strike back up or will she stay with her boyfriend. Who will you ship? 

             I may hate love triangles, but I absolutely adore this book. Stephanie Perkins writes with the best fictional guys. Perfect they are not, but if they were real I would have a high respect for them AND probably fall in love with them too. Plus, Perkins had history with these characters. The way she can cause her characters to make my heart swoon with theirs... Well I couldn't put the book down. It was a good thing that I read it during my spring break and didn't have to wake up early!

LIBRARIES and Legend

            Two weeks ago I discovered THE LIBRARY!!! That's not exactly true. I know plenty about the library, but I don't go to the library very often. Correction. I DIDN'T go to the library often. NOW I am there quite a lot. I've been there about three times in the last two weeks. That doesn't sound like a lot to me, but sometimes it takes more than a couple of days to read a book and when I get busy I won't be there so often. But because I can't afford to buy the books that I want, the library is my best friend. So now let's talk about Legend by Marie Lu:

            Day and June... Anybody know what their ship name is? (If you do not know what a ship is, it is when you think two people should be together. They do not have to be fictional, but as a fangirl of BOOKS mine are always fictional. An example of a ship name is Percabeth. Annabeth and Percy from Percy Jackson.)  Okay so maybe they won't make the best couple, but I mean the bad guy and the good guy ending up together would be great! I am going to admit that I haven't read Prodigy or Champion yet, so I am a little behind on my awesome trilogies. I am planning to and it my one of my five current reads. In other words it is on my "To Be Read" list.   

            Anyway so I am reading this book and I don't even know what it is about, but I am captured into this book. I wish I would have read it before because it tells me that my soon to be favorite character dies. That was sad. And I need to figure out how to say Metias. I don't know how to pronounce it yet. 

             Legend is about June. She is a prodigy. She is trained in the ways of the military. Day is a reknowned criminal. He lives on the street and he does all sorts of things to help people. When June's brother Metias is killed they have the chance to meet. They cross paths and secrets are spilled. Enemies are made and Allies found. Don't miss the chance this amazing book.
