June Book Haul

            I got my book mail today from the Book Outlet! I am so excited to read the books that I got! This is the first time I have ordered from the Book Outlet and I love everything I got. BUT I just realized that one of the books that I got was a sequel to another book! So without further a due here are the books that I got:

             Psi Another Day by D. R. Rosensteel
I don't actually know what this book is about, but I do know that it is a book about spies. I read I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill you by Ally Carter and I liked that, so I am excited to read this one. Spies are cool.
            L. A. Candy by Lauren Conrad
It's about some girls who get to be on a TV show. That's all I know about it, but the cover is beautiful. It's simple, but it has a bunch of candy hearts. Most of them are white, but there is one that stands out and it is pink. So a pretty and an interesting sounding story= a new book for me! (This is why I don't get to go to book stores very often. I have to use lots of SELF CONTROL not to buy the entire book store.)
            The Beginning of After by Jennifer Castle
 This is very similar to If I Stay by Gayle Foreman. I LOVE If I Stay and now I can't wait to read The Beinning of After. There are some major differences. By reading the back cover I know 1. That the main character, Laurel, doesn't have a boyfriend. 2. There is a boy in her life, but it's not one she likes and 3. She grows apart from her best friend. Again I am so excited to read this!!!
            Sass and Serendipity by Jennifer Ziegler
This story is about two sisters who are nothing alike. I don't know much about this book, but on the front of the cover it states, "This fun and fresh retelling will leave you cheering, swooning, and hugging your sister." I have three and I don't go out of my way to hug them. Maybe this cute title and (hopefully) amazing book will change my ways.
            Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier
This is the final book in the Ruby Red trilogy. I knew when I got this that it was the third book in the Ruby Red series, but I've heard great things about this trilogy and it was super cheap. Now I just have to pick up the first two.
              Heart of Glass by Sasha Gould
I did not know that this was a sequel to Cross my Heart. I don't remember seeing that this was a sequel, but now I have to go get the second one. It sounded sooooooo good. And NOW I can't read it till I get the first book.

              This was June book haul and I can't wait for more months full of books!  I am really excited!!!

Reejecttion by Daniel Clausen

            I have not finished this short story yet, but it is very interesting. I think that this was a self published book, which I don't normally read self published books, but  I decided to give this one a try. I highly enjoy his writing style. It sounds like he is talking to the read. The conversation tone, I would say, takes the cake. I haven't read many things with conversational tones and have that last quite a bit of what I have read. I love it.
            Reejecttion is about rejection. There are some parts of this book that I am not fond of. For example, in parts where he is reviewing a book that I haven't read I can't relate to that part. I don't have any connection for that part of that book.

           Would I suggest this book from the half of the book that I have already read? 

           I would recommend that you read Reejecttion. I would recommend that if you an aspiring writer to read this, but honestly everyone faces rejection, so this would benefit anyone.

Book Mail Excitement

I am so excited to announce that sometime soon I am getting my first book mail. For a high school student with no job it can be trying at times to afford books when I would like a new one. SO I am ecstatic that I am getting 6 books sent to me from The Book Outlet. Granted one of the books is the last book in a trilogy I have yet to read, or own the first two. I couldn't pass the opportunity to get it at a cheap price and it be a hardcover. AMAZING! Also, ladies and gentlemen I have started a YouTube account for the book world, book tube, and I have to set it up so you can find me tomorrow, but it will be up soon for YOU! I hope you watch it!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

             To all the fangirls of anything,

READ THIS BOOK. This is the ultimate fangirl book. It's about a fangirl. Not just any fangirl. Cath is THE fangirl. She writes fanfiction with over 20,000 hits a day/ post. Anywho, fangirl is about Cath's first year at college. We get to take a peak into the life of the ultimate fangirl. Who she loves, what she likes, what she dislikes, and how she deals with things. Everyone deals with things differently. I am a fangirl, but I lead a different life than Cath. We have different situations and there is not one things that I absolutely love.
     
             I suggest this book to everyone. This is an AMAZING book! Granted this book may not be for everybody, but it is for  people who read The Fault in Our Stars or anything by Sarah Dessen. Things by Stephanie Perkins. However amazing I think this book is, it is NOT for young children. I would recommend this book for people 13 -14 and older. Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

            I was amazed by the "Uglies" by Scott Westerfeld. Tally is a 15 almost 16 year old girl. In this society they undergo a surgery when they are 16 that makes them "pretty". They tell children beginning at a small age that they cannot be pretty until they go through with the surgery. I find that cruel.They are children and children need love and acceptance for who they are. Each child/person is beautiful in their own way. Aside from personal beliefs and back to the book, Shay Tally's new friend runs away. The special circumstances portion of the government gives her a choice. Betray and reveal Shay or be ugly forever...
            One thing I absolutely love that Scott does is make Tally feel beautiful without turning pretty. That is something many people can relate to. Accepting who they are or loving themselves and their body. Loving how you look without being vain. I would definitely recommend this book to all. If you liked "The Hunger Games," or "Divergent," then you would love "The Uglies."

May 2015 Book Haul/ June TBR

If you read my last post, then you might know that I went to the Dallas RT (Romantic Times) convention. All of my books were scored at that time. I spent all of my money there! That wasn't too much, but still I had a great time and I love being able to get so many books. Here is the pic of the books I scored this month:

Since I went to the RT Convention, I now have plenty of amazing books to read. This will also be my June TBR pile. I might read "The Book Thief" by Mark Zuzak too.

RT Convention 2015

            Two weeks ago I has the opportunity to go to the Romantic Times Convention. It is such a great opportunity and if you ever get to go, you should GO! I came out of the convention with 25 books! I bought 5 there and brought with me 2. I have eight signed. The total amount of money I spent compared to how many books I got would've been less than $5 a book!! I went to the Teen Day Party and we got to interact with all the authors. We had little class type sessions. I went to speed reading. At this particular one the authors read short snippets from one of their books. Then, I went to a writing tips and techniques session. The only author I knew in their was Kathy Reichs. 

I had a great time and I have some pictures to show you!

            Here is my 25 books! At the end of this post I will list the books and the authors. The Books Standing up are signed. All of the books laying down are books that I got with the bag on the floor. While looking at this picture I realized that Anna and the French Kiss is laying down, but I did get that signed by Stephanie Perkins. 

            This is L. H. Nicole. She has a book called Legendary coming out soon! I need to get it! She's super nice and she was assigned to my group to help us with a quiz to get our books. We lost the quiz, but we had fun doing it!

            This is Erica Cameron. She is super nice , as they all were, and super happy to talk about anything and everything. She, with the help of L. H. Nicole, was with my group during our quiz to get our book bags.

            I have been waiting to meet this amazing person for years! Kiera Cass is funny and, beautiful, and overall one of the best people I have ever met! The Heir, the fourth installment in the Selection series, just came out this month! It is pretty amazing. I love her books and she is just a great person.

            Here is Marie Lu. I didn't get to talk to her for long, but her books are good, so it's okay!

            Sara Raasch is cool. I haven't read anything by her, but I love her hair and I have heard great things about her books.

Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl co-write "Beautiful Creatures."

I am looking forward to starting this series.

Susane Colasanti is super great. I am also excited to get to read her books!

            This is the first picture I actually took of all the books together. I am in awe of how many I got! This is my biggest book haul yet! I can't wait to have another one like this in the future.

            Here is the amazing and sweet Lauren Oliver. Her newest book is Vanishing Girls. She writes YA, Adult, and for young readers. What a great variety! She also writes the Delirium trilogy.

            This is Scott Westerfeld. He writes the Uglies series. I am almost finished with the first one and I am loving it!

            Kathy Reichs is the screenwriter for "Bones". It is a crime show and it is based off of her books. I got the first book in the series about Temperance Brennen. This was such a great opportunity to meet her!

               Stephanie Perkins is one of my favorite authors of all time! She wrote, "Anna and the French Kiss." Stephanie and Kiera are ladies that are beautiful inside and out. It feels surreal that I got to meet them. Both of those ladies write incredible books. They are sweet, and cute, funny, amazing and they are just great people! 

            I cannot wait for my next book convention! I got some great books! I love to share my love for books with other! I brought along with me a friend and my younger sister. Also with us was my Mom, my aunt Heather and my friends dad.! We all enjoyed this and I know that this was worth my money!

             So on this list of books that I got, I have only read about 2 of them. Since my summer break started yesterday I am going to enjoy my summer reading the books I got at the convention. Here's the list:
