Review:

Honestly I was intrigued from the beginning, but I wasn't so sure about how it would turn out. For one, I can't even pronounce any of the names.And Shazi falls in love with a murderer. That sounds a little crazy and it is, but it's a very interesting, not bad kind of crazy. The beginning is a little slow, but I never once wanted to put it down. It had me from the first page until the last. 
What happens when the boy who has loved her wants to set her free from the very place she never believed she would actually call home? What happens when Khalid can't keep Shazi safe? Will that ever happen? Will Shazi's childhood love get her away from her murdering husband? Guess you'll just have to read this AMAZING book to find out. I can't express to you how great this book is. You NEED to read it to find out for yourself! You can find it in almost any bookstore or you can order it from Amazon. Get it today!!!

Charlie Bone by Jenny Nimmo

            This is the series that really got me into reading. I read this series about 6 years ago. It's kind of similar to Harry Potter, but to me it was the best thing I had ever read. Since then I have been an avid reader.

My thoughts:

            I haven't read a lot of mystery in the past, but this was amazing! the synopsis sounded intriguing to me, but the story itself is 1,000 times better! When I started reading it I was thinking this was going to be an okay read. I didn't think it would be too different from any other book I have read. I have never dreamed about a book. Never. So when I couldn't read without my eyes closing every two seconds, I decided I should sleep and finish it in the morning. I was maybe 50-60 pages in, not far. I had a dream about Digby and Zoe finding one of the missing girls dead. Once you get to know the characters, then you could kind of picture this dream I had.             Now that i have finished this book and have "lived" through this adventure with Digby and Zoe, I want to go back in. This is a fantastic novel that I would rate 5 Stars. I can't wait to share this book with my friends and with you.

Paper books or ebooks?

Do you prefer paper/hardback books or do you prefer ebooks? I can see how anyone could go either way, but personally I like paper and hardpack better just because I feel like it's more personal. Here's my list of pro's and con's of both of them:

• It can carry multiple books at a time
• It's light for how many books it can carry around
• You can highlight and quickly find what you are specifically looking for. (a quote, a chapter, etc.)
• Can be used for more than just reading. (Meaning all types of bookish things!)
• Automatically makes your place
• Takes up less space

Con's

• Can't be personalized
• Can't be signed by the author
• Does it go on your bookshelf? NO!
• You have to mark the pages a specific way.
• You can't share with your friends

It's a pretty close call on which is better, but I think physical books have won me over? Let me know in the comments which you prefer?

A physical book or an ebook?

My rating: 3/5 stars

My feelings:

               Over all I think that Daughter of Deep Silence is good, but I am not satisfied with the ending. The novel has this kind of creepy feel. Like if it was made into a movie there would be a whole lot of suspenseful music in it. Libby (or Frances since that's her real name) is sneaky and kind of stupid. I understand that she has problems confiding and trusting people, but other than what happened on the cruise ship, which you will find out at the beginning of the book, she has no other reason to not trust people.
               The only reason I have given this book a three instead of something higher is because I was not satisfied with the ending. However, I would still recommend this book. To those you like just a little bit of mystery, romance and contemporary fiction. You can get Daughter of Deep Silence from Amazon, The Book Depository or Barnes and Noble.

Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige

            Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige should be made into a movie. It has just the right amount of everything I love. It has magic, which I actually don't read a lot of books with magic. I don't have anything against magic, but for some reason I just haven't read a lot of it.
            Anyway Dorothy Must Die is about a girl named Amy Gumm who is also swept up in a tornado and brought to Oz. This happens after Dorothy's version of Oz. But when Amy gets there, Oz is nothing like Dorothy left it in her version of Oz. This Oz is dreary. The magic is fading from the ground. To return Oz to what it once was Amy must:

1. Remove the Tin Woodman's heart
2. Steal the Scarecrow's brain
3. Take the Lion's courage
and...

Dorothy Must Die

I highly enjoyed this turn to Oz. This particular world has some amazing twists added in Dorothy Must Die. I highly recommend this book. There is some romance in it, but it is no where near the focus of the entire book. She must save the world, protect people she doesn't even know, and try to keep herself alive. 

The Bigreadsreadathon

            The bigreadsreadathon has been hosted by an account of instagram named manyfandomfaces. This readathon is 7 days long. it started July 5 at 11:59P.M. and it will end july 12 at 11;59 P.M. Everyone picked four books that they will try and get through by the end of the readathon.
            The four categories with one book from each one are:
1. Favorite contemporary
2. A book with red on the cover
3. A book with pictures in it
4. A book by your favorite author

           When I started this readathon I was already in the middle of another book. That book is Dorothy Must Die by Danielle paige. After I finished that book I moved onto the books I picked out for the readathon. The books I picked are:
1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (DONE)
            I have soo many favorite contemporary reads that this was difficult, but I highly enjoyed Anna and Stephanie writes amazing books. Contemporary books are hard to choose from because I have read a lot of them so far this year and I think they may just be favorites of all time.
2. A Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan (CURRENTLY READING)
            I actually have this an ARC. I got the ARC at the RT book convention. I got it less than a month before it came out, but since I had been busy with school, I hadn't been able to read it. Daughter of Deep Silence is about a girl name Frances that is on a cruise ship that gets attacked.We follow Frances on her journey to expose the truth and get her revenge! Sounds great to me.
3. Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult
             The copy of this book I have is actually a copy I borrowed from my friend. I started it about a year ago, but since I got side track from it, I figured this would be the best time to read it. Plus it has pictures and a girl who talks to fictional characters and they respond! That would be awesome if that happened to me.
4. Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
            I don't think Sarah Dessen is my favorite author, but I love what I've read from her so far. She writes contemporary romance and what she writes is very similar to Stephanie Perkins. As I said I love contemporary, so it was like love at first sight.
